The clamping profile for glass partitions includes the following elements:

– Aluminum profile base with holes every 300 mm for fastening clamps and a rubber seal;
– Clamping strips with screws;
– Decorative end caps for each side.

The profile for glass partitions has standard sizes, of which the most common are profiles with a height of 40 and 100 mm. The last option is used for particularly tall glasses. Less popular is a profile with a height of 50 mm. Fasteners are installed every 300 mm. Each clamp provides a load-bearing capacity of 15 kg. Decorative covers are made of anodized aluminum or stainless steel. They have a fairly wide range of colors.

The terminal profile is designed for fastening glass with a thickness of 8, 10 and 12 mm. However, if necessary, they can be used to secure thinner (6 mm) or thicker (13 - 15 mm) glasses. In this case, installation must be carried out by qualified specialists.

Installation of glass partitions is extremely simple. Terminal profile – the base is attached to the floor and ceiling. To give the structure additional rigidity, a clamping profile is sometimes installed around the entire perimeter of the glass. Then glass is inserted into it and secured with clamps. Installing glass into the terminal profile does not require additional processing: cutouts and holes, which largely ensures the low cost of the design.

When purchasing a clamping profile, special attention should be paid to its quality. A low-quality clamping profile for glass does not ensure its tight fixation; roughly executed clamping elements can cause chipping. Finally, the presentable appearance of the partition as a whole will largely depend on the profile. Our specialists will answer your questions and help you make the right choice.
