Corrugated aluminum sheet is made by hot or cold rolling, as a result of which a pattern is extruded onto its surface. Rolling is one of the main methods of metal forming, which makes it possible to obtain products of various shapes, including thin and thick sheets. In addition, it helps improve the mechanical properties of metals.

Alloys of aluminum corrugated sheets
The most common alloys for aluminum corrugated sheets are:
1050N24 (analogous to AD 0, AD 1, A5).
3003N24 (analogous to AMC N2).
5052N22 (analogue of AMg2 H2, AMg3 H2).
The most common alloy for the production of corrugated aluminum sheets in Kyiv is alloy 1050 or 1050A (analogous to AD0, AD1, A5) in various degrees of hardness, such as H22, H24, H26, less often H18. This choice of alloy is determined by its high corrosion resistance, due to the aluminum content of at least 99.5 %, as well as its relatively low cost.
The hardness and application of corrugated aluminum can be classified as follows:
-soft corrugated aluminum sheets are used when maximum ductility and subsequent deformation processing are required.
– semi-solid corrugated aluminum is used in 99% cases and is most common in the construction and automotive industries
– solid corrugated aluminum is not subject to deformation processing and is used when maximum rigidity is required.
The second most common aluminum alloy for the production of corrugated aluminum sheets is alloy 3003 or 3005 (analogous to AMC) in the same degrees of hardness (H22, H24, H26, H18). The alloy is an aluminum alloy with a minor (up to 2.0%) addition of manganese. This alloy has even higher corrosion resistance, is stronger and less amenable to machining. The cost of alloy 3003 sheets is slightly higher than alloy 1050.
The third most common is alloy 5052, as well as alloys AMg2M, AMg3M. The degrees of hardness are the same as in previous alloys. The alloy is based on aluminum, with the addition of magnesium up to 4.0%. It has higher corrosion resistance and excellent weldability.
