Alanod – mirror aluminum

AAlanod is a mirror anodized aluminum with reflectivity up to 94% (according to DIN 5036). To achieve such performance, a thin optical coating is applied to aluminum in a vacuum chamber.
ALANOD company® was the first in the world to begin producing a fundamentally new material called MIRO® (total reflectance 95%) and MIRO-SILVER® .

Application area of mirror aluminum
ALANOD materials are used mainly in the lighting industry, and are also successfully used in the production of construction and finishing materials, in the automotive and electronics industries. Various options and types of surfaces are possible: mirror, semi-matte, matte, as well as all kinds of textures. Colors can vary widely depending on requirements!

Alanod (mirror aluminum) is used for the production of:
- raster lamps: in the form of reflective material
- suspended aluminum slatted ceilings and Grilyato ceilings
- solar thermal installations
- in design elements
- for car tuning
Types of Alanod mirror aluminum coating:
- shiny polished
- mirror aluminum
- multicolor mirror aluminum
- minting orange peel
- brush – scratched aluminum

Advantages of Alanode:
- aluminum does not corrode
- does not change shade
- the coating does not wear off and has antistatic properties
- maximum light reflection
Anodized aluminum ALANOD MIRO is a glossy material with a high degree of reflection (reflects better than a mirror). The best reflector option when using LEDs. Allows maximum use of LED light output. Characterized by the absence of interference color in reflected light.
Cost of mirror aluminum Alanod
Alanod miro mirror aluminum available in stock in rolls 1250 mm wide
0.3 mm – from 15 $/m2
0.4 mm – from 19 $/m2
The price of mirror aluminum is indicated when purchasing at least 20 m2.

ANODIZING ALUMINUM
Anodizing aluminum alloys is an electrochemical process of obtaining a protective and decorative coating on the surface. When anodizing aluminum alloys, the product is immersed in an electrolyte and connected to the positive pole of a current source. The oxygen released interacts with aluminum and forms an oxide film on its surface. The oxide film on the surface of aluminum is colorless at elevated temperatures, which allows it to be painted with any dyes.
Lighting applications of anodized aluminum for the manufacture of lamps
The efficiency of lighting fixtures is determined by the quality of the reflector material. In the production of reflectors for lighting fixtures, the most leading companies use Alanod anodized aluminum with improved properties. Therefore, reflectors made of mirror aluminum ALANOD®, can be found in all types of lighting fixtures.
Our company offers mirror aluminum ALANOD from a warehouse in Kyiv. Anodized mirror aluminum can be supplied both in rolls and in sheets up to 1250 mm wide, with a thickness of 0.2 to 0.5 mm.

Reflective aluminum materials from ALANOD® are used to solve lighting engineering and ergonomic problems of the first generation of LED lamps based on lens optics.
High light intensity and the point distribution of increased brightness leads to increased glare. LED-lens systems are characterized by increased direct brilliance.
The path from the first to the second generation of LED lamps is the path from lenses to reflectors. The quality of the shape and material of the reflector determines good light distribution, the absence of glare and the efficiency of the entire system. In the emitted light, the brightness of the LEDs is masked in the reflector. The brightness distribution area is larger, which is more acceptable for eye perception.
Light losses in LED systems using lenses, depending on their quality, range from 10 to 30 %, while when reflecting reflectors using MIRO material they are reduced to 5%, and when using MIRO-SILVER® – up to 2%.
The combination of an LED group with a reflective system allows you to get:
- Higher efficiency;
- No visible point light sources;
- Better light distribution;
- Elimination of glare;
- No chromatic aberration.
MIRO technology® – minimizing losses in miniature luminaires
Due to the constant trend towards miniaturization of lamps, their efficiency is constantly decreasing due to the reduction in the area of reflective surfaces.
To counteract this process, it is necessary to use a material with maximum overall light reflection. Material ALANOD® MIRO-SILVER® has a reflectance coefficient of 98%. Reduced weight and increased luminous efficiency compensate for the higher price of MIRO-SILVER material®.
